I hope this cunt never plays another game for us.

There were a lot of problems in the first half, pinning blame on Nolan is ridiculous. He did a lot of chasing down which is more than can be said for Payet. Taking him off was the right thing to do though, needed the change in formation to put more pressure on their defence which made all the difference.. Apart from our defence.

Yep. Nolan is getting slaughtered, he is finished but the above is totally correct.

The alternatives to Nolan were basically start Jarvis out wide or Maiga up top with Sakho so not really blessed with choices are we?
The squad is short as it was last season and all really have done is made big investments in areas where we were relatively strong and still not addressed the areas where we are not short,
Signing a new forward (injury permitting) to play with Sakho would have avoided starting Nolan today and so would have a replacement for Downing but despite having plenty of time to sign we are still forced to seeing Nolan out there again.
